Dr. Gina Baleria (The Journalism Behind Journalism) speaks on topics related to her new book and ongoing work. She discusses issues related to bias and objectivity in the journalism field, as well as how our media landscape can better address issues of power, equity and addressing the needs of news audiences. Audience questions and discussion are welcomed.

Gina Baleria, Ed.D., is an assistant professor of digital media, media writing, podcasting and journalism at Sonoma State University. Prior to teaching, Dr. Baleria was an award-winning broadcast and digital journalist. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading and spending time with friends and family. She and her husband live in San Francisco.

Dr. Baleria hosts the podcast News In Context.
