This is an introductory 8-week course for those who have only limited to no prior experience of Mandarin. This class introduces students to Mandarin pronunciation, tones, basic grammar patterns and conversation. Students have an opportunity to learn about topics including family, professionals, hobbies, dining and traveling. During classes, we also introduce Taiwanese culture and include some hand-on activities.

Adrian Yen, a Taiwanese native, has been working as a freelance Mandarin interpreter for multiple public school districts and healthcare appointments in the Bay Area since 2016. She is a very compassionate and professional English and Mandarin interpreter and teacher who loves to volunteer and help people in her community. Teacher Adrian loves coaching students conversations in Mandarin and helps them develop confidence in speaking.
