Fodor's, Lonely Planet and Rick Steves travel guides are flying from library shelves. To encourage patron wanderlust, Potrero Branch has launched the Sunday Sojourn Cinema Series.

Adapted from the diaries of Alberto Granado and Ernesto Guevara, the biographical film,The Motorcycle Diaries, recounts their South American odyssey riding a Norton 500 motorcycle - La Peligrosa. When La Peligrosa sputters to its final mile, the two nomads continue their journey afoot and also hitchhike through Chile to Peru.

As they experience the impact of political, economic and social injustice, the seeds of the revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara are sown. Humor is a constant companion throughout their adventures. After three weeks of caring for patients at the leper colony in San Pablo, Peru, Ernesto accidentally dances his invention,The Mambo Tango, at their farewell party. Rockin' missionary nuns look on in laughter.
