SFPL Book Arts & Special Collections and the Bay Area Art Conservation Guild (BAACG) present a lecture on the conservation of artists’ books by Michelle C. Smith of the SFPL Preservation Department. Michelle will address the conservation challenges presented by artists’ books and discuss preventive actions, treatment considerations and collaborative approaches. Attendees will be invited to view artists’ books from SFPL’s collections following the talk.
