Saturday, 10/16/2021
3:00 - 5:00

Join us for a Saturday afternoon matinee screening of Alimuom, followed by a discussion with Keith Sicat, director and independent filmmaker. One time only event.

Image removed.Alimuom (Vapours) is a sci-fi thriller set in the futuristic Philippines where farming is banned and sections of the country are under heavily secured bio-domes, beyond which resistance forces continue to defy the militaristic state by growing food crops and herbal medicines.

Sicat has worked on numerous feature films as a director, writer and /or producer. His award-winning films include Rigodon, Ka Oryang, The Guerrilla is a Poet, Woman of the Ruins and Alimuom. His films range from historical dramas, documentaries, tropical gothic art films to science fiction. He was the script consultant for the first CG-animated Filipino feature film RPG: Metanoia and served as head of development for the first Tagalog language Japanese anime co-production Barangay 143, currently on Netflix. Sicat is also a comic book creator, whose title OFW - Outerspace Filipino Workers was the springboard for the science fiction film Alimuom.
