Workshop: Plarn and Its Uses

Create yarn from plastic bags to use in knitting, crocheting or weaving projects. Learn about the harms of plastic, steps to reduce plastic waste and how people can help save animal life and prevent trash from going into landfills. For ages 10 and older.

Teen Intern Maleeha participated in the Youth Engaged in Library Leadership (YELL) 2021 summer internship program as a member of the STEM & Nature cohort. The STEM & Nature cohort used STEM to explore different aspects of the urban nature spaces in their community and connected them to topics like sustainability, community gardens and nature walks. They are passionate about the environment and creating art.
