Jason Reynolds 將於2月25日發表主題爲“轉型”的演講
Jason Reynolds是美國國家圖書獎（National Book Award）入圍書籍“幽靈（Ghost）”的作者，著有獲得紐伯瑞榮譽獎（Newbery Honor）作品“漫漫長路（Long Way Down）及衆多面向初中及青少年讀者的書籍。他將於2021年2月25日（星期四）太平洋標準時間下午5時於三藩市公立圖書館的網絡直播中進行一場特別的演講。這次的第25屆Effie Lee Morris講座將免費提供給所有年齡段的觀衆。請預先注冊。更多注冊詳情請瀏覽。
Reynolds亦與歷史學家Ibram X. Kendi合作撰寫了 “被標簽：種族主義，反種族主義及你 (Racism, Anti-Racism and You)”，這是Kendi所著“生而被標簽(Stamped from the Beginning) ”的種族歧視思想歷史溯源的2020年青年版。
在獲得科雷塔·斯科特·金 /約翰·斯特普托新人才獎（Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe Award for New Talent），2017有色人種進步協會形象獎（NAACP Image Award），以及其他多項殊榮后， Reynolds在2020年擔任美國國家青少年文學大使，分享了他由作家到讀者的轉型過程 – 共同與青少年在過去一年裏經歷了難以想象的轉變。這爲他在主題為轉型的創造性探索中做準備，並準備進行轉型。
該講座系列是由三藩市公立圖書館兒童中心，非裔美国人中心及三藩市人權委員會（SF Human Rights Commission ）合作製作，通過一些當今最有才華及魅力的青少年書刊作家及插畫家所創造的文字與圖片來反映有色人種作家，讀者及社群的生活體驗。

Effie Lee Morris – 走在時代前端的女性
三藩市公立圖書館所舉辦的Effie Lee Morris講座系列致力向Effie Lee Morris（1921-2009）所做出的貢獻致敬，她是首位三藩市公立圖書館兒童服務部統籌，首位公立圖書館協會（Public Library Association）的非裔主席及婦女圖書館協會三藩市分會的聯合創始人。
Morris女士不倦地追求多樣性，包容性，以及所有年青人的閲讀，學習及創造的權利。她在克利夫蘭公立圖書館發起了第一屆非裔青年歷史慶祝活動，也是第一位在紐約公立圖書館服務視障及盲人兒童的圖書館員。而在三藩市公立圖書館的任職期間，她因致力於親自拜訪服務欠缺的社區，使書籍交到所有青少年的手中而備受矚目。
