DESCRIPTION:<p>René Peña-Govea will lead a journal writing workshop for teens that will help them develop their personal stories. Rene Pena-Govea is a San Francisco native, educator, YA author and community ambassador and leads her musical family band, La Familia Peña-Govea that has performed for countless Bay Area residents. She recently published her first YA novel, <a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S93C7382257">Estela Undrowning</a>. For the workshop, writing journals will be provided.</p><p>For 6th–12th graders. Space limited.
