We will discuss Sayaka Murata's Convenience Store Woman. This is a novel about a thirty-six-year-old Tokyo resident Keiko Furukura, who has never fit in, neither in her family, nor in school. At the age of eighteen she begins working at a convenience store and finds purpose in her life.
