<p><strong>Leslie Kirk Campbell</strong> is a Noe Valley author who teaches at <a href="http://www.ripefruitwriting.com/">Ripe Fruit Writing</a>, a creative writing program she founded in Noe Valley in 1991. <a href="https://sfpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S93C5138150"><em>The Man with Eight Pairs of Legs</em></a>&nbsp;won the 2020 Mary McCarthy Prize for Short Fiction, was&nbsp;a 2022 Great Group Reads Selection by the Women's National Book Association&nbsp;and was a finalist for the&nbsp;American Book Fest&nbsp;2022&nbsp;Best Book Awards.</p>
