Author&nbsp;Nina&nbsp;LaCour&nbsp;is celebrating her first chapter book,&nbsp;<em>The Apartment House on Poppy Hill</em>, with aspiring young writers. Join&nbsp;LaCour&nbsp;on a walk around the neighborhood, to observe the things that make your neighborhood special. Discuss local surroundings and use your imagination to turn the place you live into stories.</p>

<p>Build confidence in your writing and make new friends at this writing group for students. A librarian will guide participants through fun and thought-provoking writing exercises. Bring a personal journal or use our supplies. This special edition is open to kids 7-12 and their parents&nbsp;are also welcome to join.</p>
