This introductory class is a follow up to ‘Investing for Beginners.’ Understand why and how people invest in stocks through proper analysis and the use of tools and resources. Learn how to get started safely with very little money while managing risk and tax consequences.  

This program is suitable for young adults and families.

Matthews is a certified instructor through the National Financial Educators Council. She has been a financial literacy advocate for over twenty years working with organizations such as Junior Achievement, Girl Scouts, BizWorld, Full Circle Fund, Bay Area Financial Education Foundation, Creative Wealth International and the JumpStart Coalition. She has participated in roundtable discussions at the SEC Office of the Investor Advocate, the Saks Fifth Avenue Fearless Women Speaker Series and the Advisory Board for Junior Achievement. Matthews currently speaks on behalf of multiple organizations to empower individuals to take control of their personal finances. 

Braemer has invested for about 40+ years and has taught both at the local and national level for BetterInvesting since 1992.  He works in the financial services industry and has several designations: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Financial Planning (CFP®) and he has a Masters in Financial Services from Golden Gate University.
