The Sunday Sojourn Cinema Series concludes with the dream adventure that has bewitched audiences for more than eight decades,The Wizard of Oz.

When the force of a violent twister unhinges her bedroom window to knock ten-year-old Dorothy Gale unconscious, her psyche spirals from the gray existence of Dust Bowl Kansas to living over the rainbow in spectacular color. In a land behind the moon, beyond the rain, the protective Good Witch of the North, Glinda, advises Dorothy that the powerful Wizard of Oz in Emerald City would help her to return to Kansas. Glinda transfers the ruby red slippers of powerful magic to Dorothy's feet and advises, "Just follow the yellow brick road" (YBR). Dorothy and her beloved dog, Toto, embark from Munchkinland for the Emerald City along the YBR.

With the Wicked Witch of the West (WWW) in hot pursuit of her ruby red slippers, Dorothy befriends Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion. Each decides to accompany her to ask the Wizard for a brain (Scarecrow), a heart (Tin Man), and courage (Lion). How do they survive trees that defensively pitch apples, poisonous poppies underfoot, winged monkeys that viciously execute the orders of WWW and other ordeals? Friendship, loyalty, song and dance. At the end of their quest-search, Dorothy reveals the gained wisdom of an experienced pilgrim, "There's no place like home."
