Join Latinx authors Aida Salazar and Natalia Sylvester, members of the author collective Las Musas, as they share their latest and upcoming works, timely novels about a family caged in a detention camp by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to a presidential election for Cuban-American political family. This conversation will be great for older youth and adult alike.

Aida Salazar is an award-winning author and arts activist whose writings for adults and children explore issues of identity and social justice. She is the author of the critically acclaimed middle grade verse novels, The Moon Within (International Latino Book Award) and the just released Land of the Cranes.

Natalia Sylvester is the author of two novels for adults, Chasing the Sun and Everyone Knows You Go Home, which won an International Latino Book Award. Running, her debut novel for young adults, is a 2020 Junior Library Guild Selection. Born in Lima, Peru, Sylvester grew up in Florida and Texas and received a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of Miami.
