Aida Salazar is an award-winning author and arts activist whose writings for adults and children explore issues of identity and social justice. She is the author of the critically acclaimed middle grade verse novels, The Moon Within (International Latino Book Award) and the just released Land of the Cranes.
Natalia Sylvester is the author of two novels for adults, Chasing the Sun and Everyone Knows You Go Home, which won an International Latino Book Award. Running, her debut novel for young adults, is a 2020 Junior Library Guild Selection. Born in Lima, Peru, Sylvester grew up in Florida and Texas and received a BFA in Creative Writing from the University of Miami.

Las Musas Books is the first collective of women and non-binary (identifying on the female spectrum) Latinx middle-grade (MG), picture book (PB) and young adult (YA) authors to come together in an effort to support and amplify each other’s debut or sophomore novels in US children’s literature.
