Dr. Ifetayo I. Ojelade leads participants through a journaling workshop using stories and knowledge of African deities. A psychologist by training, her strategy uses the Yorùbá-based system of Ifá and works to build psychological well-being to counter race-related stress associated with living in a culture rooted in anti-Black racism and white supremacy.

Dr. Ifetayo Ojelade is a Licensed Psychologist who earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University. Dr. Ojelade was initiated to Osun and Ifá by Agbongbon ‘Kayode (Kah-yo-day) Faniyi (Fa-knee-yee) in Osun State Nigeria. As an initiated ancestral priest of 20 years, she focuses on effective methods for integrating indigenous African healing practices into psychotherapy and has written scholarly articles and a book on the subject. Dr. Ojelade is the founder and Executive Director of A Healing Paradigm, LLC; a wellness center providing counseling, psychological testing, community and continuing education programming for the entire family on the forcibly taken traditional lands of the Muscogee, currently known as Atlanta, Georgia.
