San Francisco, September 8, 2026 — This year marks 15 years of championing early literacy with Tricycle Music Fest, San Francisco Public Library’s (SFPL’s) annual all-ages music festival. In honor of this milestone, Tricycle Music Fest is featuring quinceañera-style festivities with a special tricycle raffle after each show. The music lineup for the quinceañera  includes a full slate of Latinx artists as part of ¡VIVA!, SFPL’s Latinx heritage celebration. 

"It feels so incredible to be celebrating fifteen years of Tricycle Music Fest,” says Early Learning Coordinator, Ruben Balderas. “The popular demand for it to return year after year is truly a testament to the appreciation San Franciscans have for the early-learning benefits and joyous atmosphere that music provides. Part of why I love Tricycle Music Fest is that it provides an opportunity for us to directly support the City's early learners as well as our local music community." 

Tricycle Music Fest kicks off on September 19 with the Tricycle Music Fest debut of Malinky Music, a child development-focused musical experience for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their families or educators. Bring your little ones to SFPL’s Merced Branch or Marina Branch for enriching songs and play.

On October 3, bestselling author and Latin Grammy and Grammy Award winner Lucky Diaz returns, performing his acclaimed bilingual indie hits at Ortega Branch and Richmond Branch libraries. 

Musician and educator duo Aguacate Music Kids makes its inaugural Tricycle Music Fest performance on October 10. Visit North Beach Branch or Bernal Heights Branch for bilingual, educational songs to inspire children. Additionally, attend their third show on October 18 at Excelsior Branch during San Francisco’s Sunday Streets. For a preview of their performance, listen to Aguacate Music Kids on Bay Beats, SFPL’s free music streaming platform. 

If you missed them last year, local favorite three-generation family band René y Familia is back. Enjoy traditional Latin tunes inspired by cumbia, rancheras and corridos from the group that composed for KTVU’s SF Loves Learning. Catch their performance on October 24 at Presidio Branch and Main Library’s Children’s Center. René y Familia’s music is available for streaming on Bay Beats.
