Experience a beautiful expression of cultural pride and traditional spiritual roots. Ancient Aztec ceremonies and dances are part of the Danza movement, which dates back to pre-Colombian times, and has been growing throughout the United States for the last twenty years. Through movement, songs, art, presentations, and five annual ceremonies, Xitlalli continues the teachings of our ancestors and works to pass them down to the next generation.
Danza Azteca Xitlalli is the oldest Aztec Dance group in San Francisco, established in 1981 by Maestra Macuilxóchitl and Maestro Francisco Camplis, under the guidance of Jefe Pedro Rodriguez.
