A panel discussion and book signing event celebrating API Heritage Month and Immigrant Heritage Month.

Bay Area AAPI leaders Lucy Chen, Evelynn Tran, and Dennis Yao Yu. They will share stories of resilience, leadership, and their lived cultural journeys, moderated by Van Tran. And be sure to stay for a meet-and-greet session and book signing with Lucy Chen.

Lucy Chen:   A speaker and author, who has received two prestigious book awards: the International Impact Book Award and the Golden Door Silver Medal for her book "Build Resilience: Live, Learn, and Lead." With a Master's in Environmental Engineering from UCLA and diverse expertise in engineering, finance, and as a risk executive, Lucy is also a certified Human Potential Coach and Distinguished Toastmaster. She's the founder of GiftedCoaching.Info and actively contributes to community organizations. 

Evelynn Tran:  The chief legal advisor for VTA,  Evelynn's journey as a leader is deeply rooted in a family legacy of community service and further strengthened by her education, including a Juris Doctorate from UC Law San Francisco. She is a founding member of the National Conference of Vietnamese-American Attorneys and the Vietnamese American Professional Women Association of Silicon Valley, and an active Board member of Asian Americans for Community Involvement (AACI).


Dennis Yao Yu:   Graduated from University of California Irvine with an undergraduate degree in Economics and received his Master’s degree in Business Administration from USC. He is a revenue leader within technology industry with 20 years of experience creating B2B business strategies, overseeing client facing functions (sales, partnerships, and customer success). He has managed teams in startup companies and large corporations.


Van Tran:  The Founder and CEO of API Rising, LLC, Van drives leadership development by empowering Asians and Pacific Islanders (API) to take on leadership roles. She is deeply committed to supporting women in leadership, with over three years of active involvement as a founding member of Chief, a private women's network, and its wellness and API communities. Van also co-founded OPMG API Collective and served as Global Co-Chair of Asian Leaders Circle, amplifying API voices globally, and is currently leading an entrepreneurial mastermind group for women entrepreneurs.
