Enjoy an evening exploring Sound Advice: Hearing Loss, Seen and Heard, listen to the creator Nancy Rubin share about the creative process, and witness the power of personal stories. ASL interpreter provided.
Sound Advice was created to spark curiosity, compassion, and understanding around the often misunderstood world of hearing loss. Through intimate interviews and photographs, this exhibit shares the stories of 15 individuals–and the owner of a deaf dog–ages 6 to 96 and includes authors Claudia Martseille and Rachel Zemach. One of the featured individuals will be in attendance along with Nancy Rubin.
Their stories challenge assumptions and reveal humor, resilience, and the deeply human experience of navigating the hearing world.
