Tachyon Publications, a San Francisco-based publisher of science fiction and fantasy, commemorates its 30th anniversary with a celebratory event at the Main Library on October 5th, and an exhibit on the 3rd Floor. The exhibit, opening on September 19, includes books, manuscripts, awards and photos documenting the company’s extraordinary history. Tachyon champions creative storytelling of authors who inspire through intelligent prose and imaginative worlds. Tachyon books have received Hugo, Nebula, World Fantasy, Sturgeon, Mythopoeic, Locus, Endeavor, Grand Prix de l’Imaginaire, Endeavor, Neukom, Sidewise and Philip K. Dick awards.
