2:00 - 4:00
Filipino themed traditional weaving workshops with a socio-historical and decolonizing context for the Filipino American community in the US diaspora. The workshop is aimed at bringing awareness to participants of all races for them to connect to and perhaps even reclaim their own family, regional, cultural link to traditional and indigenous weaving. Participants see a variety of weaving samples and get to try their hands on various types of table top looms. This is appropriate for mid-elementary aged children all the way to adults.
