For the very first time, talented first-year students from the Spoken Arts program at Ruth Asawa School of the Arts will share their work with the public. After weeks of writing, revising and finding the courage to speak their truths, they’re stepping into the spotlight. The Spoken Arts Freshman Showcase is a chance to celebrate their growth, welcome them into the Spoken Arts family, and witness the beauty of these young voices in bloom.

Poetry

Programs designed to celebrate the art of the poem, including readings and talks.

Performance

Events featuring theater, music, art and dance.
