If you enjoy some history in your fiction, spend an hour hashing out the details of—and the history behind—this month’s novel, Jordy Rosenberg's Confessions of the Fox. Modern academic Dr. Voth discovers a mysterious stack of papers from 1724 titled Confessions of the Fox that tells the story of an orphan named P. who was sold into servitude at twelve, struggled for years with the desire to live as "Jack" and eventually became Jack Sheppard, one of the most notorious—and most wanted—thieves in history.
