Learn about the life of Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to travel in space. Make rockets powered by your breath – so you can fly like Mae. For children and their families.

Find inspiration through craft programs featuring talented artists, makers and even your local librarians. For craft programs, all materials are provided, unless noted.

Gain a new perspective on and understanding of the world through programs on the sciences.

Connect to engaging discussions and performances related to the Black community.

More Than a Month recognizes important events in Black history, honors community and national leaders and fosters steps towards collective change. Programming features authors, poets and craft classes.
