On October 24, Bay Beats is rolling out 150 new albums that will take you across genres, space and time. To celebrate, we're throwing our Fourth Annual Launch Party at the Bandshell in Golden Gate Park featuring four artists who are new to Bay Beats in 2026. How did we pick four bands out of 150 great artists? With cosmic delight! We're thrilled to present a lineup that shows the range of styles that makes Bay Beats an integral part of the Bay Area's vibrant music scene:

5:00 - Skip the Needle - Rock, @skiptheneedle; Punk, funk and soul-fired rock with a biting, socially conscious message, delivered with radical joy.

4:00 - William Johnston's Extravagant Superband - Soul/Funk, @williamjohnstonbohrer; if you like Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, and Steely Dan, you'll  love this band!

3:00 - Frankie Maston - Afropop, @frankiemaston;  - With origins from Tanzania, Frankie is a gender-expansive artist whose wondrous vocals in English, French, and Kiswahili will soar into the Golden Gate Park air.

2:00 - Spencer Noble - Pop, @goodforyourbones; Having played in many local bands, Spencer comes into his own with cute and catchy pop songs that strike chords on the guitar and with all of us!

But wait, there's more: giveaways, food trucks and games! This show is also brought to you by SFPL's James C. Hormel LGBTQIA Center, Illuminate, Amoeba Music, White Crate, BFF.fm, and the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Dept. Come meet them and other music organizations at the show. And when you get here, don't forget to put your hands in the air!!
