From September 1–30, community members of all ages are invited to enjoy a good book while riding Muni, explore familiar and new places around the city and earn special prizes. Read on to learn more!
Read & Ride
Turn your travel time into reading time and join our Read & Ride challenge! Community members who read while riding Muni for at least 10 hours throughout September have the chance to earn a limited-edition Read & Ride bookmark.
To join:
- Sign up for the Read & Ride challenge through our Beanstack platform.
- Read a book or listen to an audiobook while riding Muni throughout September. All ages and reading levels are welcome!
- Track your reading time in Beanstack. Once you reach 10 hours, you’ll complete the challenge and earn a limited-edition Read & Ride bookmark. Show your completed Beanstack badges to a librarian at any SFPL location to pick up your prize while supplies last.

Bussin’ Bingo
This year, we’re happy to be participating in Muni’s Bussin’ Bingo, an annual game that encourages community members to discover new places, support local businesses and celebrate public transit. Take Muni to any of our locations to earn a San Francisco Public Library sticker and cross us off your card.
Don’t have a card yet? Pick one up at one of our branches or any participating location on the card. You can also print the card at home in English, Spanish and Chinese by visiting the Muni’s Bussin’ Bingo website.
