Have you ever been just a few feet away from an angelic harp played by a notable professional? Don't miss your chance to listen to and learn from Amy Ahn, principal harpist of the Stockton Symphony and an award-winning solo harpist.
We welcome you to a unique and educational music event offered in collaboration with Groupmuse. Join the artist after her performance for light refreshments, to answer questions about her musical career and her lovely harp. Space limited.
Ahn is principal harpist of the Stockton Symphony and an award-winning solo harpist. She is most well known for being a versatile artist—as a multi-genre performing harpist, singer, songwriter and devoted educator. She has held substitute and principal positions with the Boston Lyric Opera, Monterey Symphony, Boston Civic Orchestra, Orchestra of Indian Hill and Peabody Symphony Orchestra. She earned degrees from UCLA, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Her program will be eclectic and include classical, folk, modern pop, and jazz compositions including Vince Guaraldi's best known music for animated television adaptations of the "Peanuts" comic strip. Amy will share interesting and educational tips about the history of the piece or the composer.
