 San Francisco, CA, July 27, 2026 — San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) is partnering with the Division of Adult Parole Operations (DAPO) Community Reentry Unit to help individuals navigating reentry connect with employment opportunities. On August 6, the Main Library will host a free employment resource fair along with two presentations on how to apply for City and State positions.

San Francisco, CA, July 20, 2026 — San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) is now offering free radon detectors for checkout, empowering residents to test their homes for this invisible, odorless and tasteless radioactive gas. Made possible through a partnership with the California Department of Public Health Indoor Radon Program, this initiative aims to increase awareness and reduce the health risks associated with radon exposure.

San Francisco Public Library (SFPL) invites Bay Area children's book illustrators to apply for the role of featured artist for its 2027 Summer Stride program. This annual citywide reading and learning initiative, presented in partnership with Mayor Daniel Lurie, the National Park Service and the San Francisco Unified School District, aims to foster literacy and community engagement for all ages.
