Joyful Movement for personal resilience combines t'ai chi-like warm-ups, balance yoga poses, mindful breathing and free-form dance moves, set to music. We can create our own joy through movement, body awareness and breathing. We can learn how to shift our nervous system from fight or flight, into rest and digest mode.
Marcia Degelman practices the healing art of massage therapy and teaches Restorative Yoga at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Health. She is also an Integrative Health Coach, helping people create healthy habits. She wrote a book, Explaining Health: What You Need to Know to Stay Healthy.
