Affluent archaeology professor Dr. Sam Hess has life is turned upside down when his assistant stabs him with a cursed blade, turning him into a vampire. Then a beautiful widow, Ganja, appears in search of something, and slowly discovers his secret life. This gorgeous and wholly original vampire movie turns the Blaxploitation genre on its head. However, due to studio re-cuts, it was rarely seen in its intended form until the 2000s, when a single preserved director's cut was found and re-released. Written and directed by the legendary Bill Gunn, Ganja & Hess will linger long after you've watched it.
Please note the film includes disturbing themes and nudity.
