Library Science

Students of San Jose State University’s School of Library and Information Science and City College of San Francisco's Library Information Technology program can complement their education with a well-rounded circulating and library-use-only collection of books on the topic found in the General Collections and Humanities Center on the 3rd floor of the Main Library

Print Collections

Library and information science materials may be found under the call numbers 020 – 029.

  1. Information related to book technologies and manuscripts can be found under 002 (The book), and 090-099 (Manuscripts and rare books). In addition, SFPL’s Book Arts and Special Collections department holds collections on printing history.

Materials related to database management, web design, and other computer programming can be found under 004-006 (Computers and computer programming) on the 4th floor in the Business, Science & Technology Center.
