The African Music and Arts Village is an interactive, high-energy performance that takes participants on a journey back into the heart of ancient Africa through music and story. Baba Shibambo, a master South African percussionist, introduces attendees to traditional drums, marimbas and other indigenous instruments. African folktales from Shibambo's childhood are set to music and shared. Finally, we welcome the participants to the stage where they are given instruction and play easy-to-learn rhythms in a group ensemble setting.
