2:00 - 2:30
Enjoy a deeper view of history in this week's Family Storytime, when we explore and celebrate the art of Jacob Lawrence and his portrayal of one of the most pivotal events in American history, the Great Migration. We'll read picture books and hear stories about people who experienced the Great Migration of African Americans from the oppressions of the South to seek better lives in the North and out West - including California. After the story program, we'll do a simple craft based on Lawrence's art. Craft activity participation is limited to the first 20 patrons.
