Music Performance: Featuring Bay Beats Artists
Laura Benitez and the Heartache: 12 p.m.
Camellia Boutros: 1 p.m.
Jose Najera and the Bernal Beat: 2 p.m.
Art and Craft: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Screen printing with Calixto Robles and Ali Blum: Create mixed media screen print on paper and/or cloth patches, create prints of animals and food found on farms including cows, chickens, sheep, cats, vegetables and fruit.
Indigo Dyeing with Margaret Seelie Studio: Make something old feel new again in our community dye bath. Artist Margaret Seelie will show you how to make cool designs and dye with the indigo plant. You’ll bring your own small used item to dye like a bandanna, tee, or pillowcase. Only cotton, linen, silk, or wool are compatible with natural dyeing—no synthetics, like polyester. One item per person so everyone can dye. After you dye your item, you will rinse it at home using the instructions on seeliestudio.com.
Button Making: Make your own wearable button using one of our Summer Stride designs by our featured artist Sendy Santamaria, or create your own design.
Walking Tours:
Heron's Head Park self-guided walking tour on this stroller-friendly trail, you will get to view and identify birds and other city wildlife.
This program kicks off the San Francisco Public Library's month-long Everybody's Climate program series.
The New Farm is an ecology center, creative space and community gathering place.
