Plant Trees to Restore San Francisco and the Ocean
Saturday July 27, 8:45am-1:30pm
Register: https://bit.ly/julystsat24

Friends of the Urban Forest and The Marine Mammal Center hold Stewardship Saturday events for high schoolers interested in meeting other high schoolers  to learn about/engage more with conservation work. This event will support the environment in San Francisco by planting trees in Bayview. Urban greening not only improves the health of the land and air, but also controls runoff that can affect marine mammals frequently found in the San Francisco Bay. Lunch and snacks will be provided.  Can sign off on community service hours if needed.  If the event is full, sign up for the waitlist as spaces may become available.

The Marine Mammal Center 2025 Youth Crew Program
This 8-month service-learning program is for high school students aged 15-18 in the San Francisco Bay Area who are interested in working with marine mammals and educating the public about important ocean conservation topics.

  • Applications are now available on our website (https://www.MarineMammalCenter.org/youth-crew) and are due September 18th.
  • Multiple stipends are available this year for motivated students that identify as BIPOC, are first generation college bound, receive free or reduced lunches, and/or would be unable to participate in Youth Crew without financial assistance.
  • Questions: Contact lyouthcrew@tmmc.org
