SF in SF hosts authors Meg Elison and Sarah Gailey in conversation with moderator Cliff Winnig.
Meg Elison is an author and essayist. She writes science fiction and horror, as well as feminist essays and cultural criticism. She has been published in McSweeney’s, Slate, Fangoria, Fantasy and Science Fiction, Clarkesworld, and many other places. Her debut novel The Book of the Unnamed Midwife won the 2014 Philip K. Dick Award. Her novelette, "The Pill" won the 2021 Locus Award. Her forthcoming satire Foundling Fathers will by published by San Francisco's Tachyon Publications this year.
Sarah Gailey is a Hugo Award and British Fantasy Award winning, bestselling author of speculative fiction, short stories, and essays. Their nonfiction has been published by dozens of venues internationally, and their fiction has been translated around the world. They have written comics for Marvel, EC, and BOOM! Studios, including multiple original series. They are the editor and publisher of Stone Soup and Love Letters: Reasons To Be Alive.
Each author will read a selection from their work, followed by Q&A with the audience.
Books will be for sale courtesy of Fly By Night Books, and attendees are welcome to bring books from home for autographs.
