Discussion with historian, Dr. Eva Sheppard-Wolf, who will discuss America Revolutionary-era ideas about tyranny and liberty as related to the Declaration of Independence. 

Eva Sheppard Wolf is a historian who studies the American Revolution, slavery, race, and ideas about labor in early America. She earned her Ph.D. from Harvard University and is the author of two books, Race and Liberty in the New Nation: Emancipation in Virginia from the Revolution to Nat Turner's Rebellion and Almost Free: A Story About Family and Race in Antebellum Virginia.  She is Professor of History at SF State university, where she teaches courses that cover the colonial period through the nineteenth century.
