Activity: Nature Hunt

Monday, 10/4/2021
3:00 - 3:15

Search and interact with different plants in your neighborhood while learning about the dangers of litter. After your hunt, get crafty and learn how to give old cans and toilet paper rolls a new life in your home. For kids and their families.

Watch on YouTube.

The Youth Engaged in Library Leadership's (YELL) STEM & Nature cohort used STEM to explore different aspects of the urban nature spaces in their community and connected them to topics like sustainability, community gardens and nature walks. They are passionate about immersing themselves in nature and love exploring San Francisco. Living in such a fast-paced urban city, oftentimes residents don't take enough time to appreciate and take care of nature spaces. This activity was created to help build connections to this beautiful world.
