Join experienced tour guide Rodney Paul for a walking tour of the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood.  Tour will last just under 2 hours, covering about 1.5 miles, and will occur rain or shine - please bring appropriate shoes and layered clothing. We’ll walk through The Panhandle, the site of many free concerts and other hippie community events during the Summer of Love. We’ll then walk through portions of the neighborhood and talk about what made it attractive to the hippie community and psychedelic rock bands such as Jefferson Airplane, the Grateful Dead and Big Brother & the Holding Company. Between stops on the tour, we’ll hear more than 20 songs by musicians who either lived in the Haight or had important ties to the SF hippie scene.

Find more information on the tour, including the route map and list of the songs we’ll hear
