A poignant romantic fable about an Iranian construction worker who falls in love with an Afghan refugee. Cast includes Hossein Abedini, Zahra Bahrami and Mohammad Reza Naji. Written and directed by Majid Majidi, writer of The Color of Paradise (1999).  In Kurdish, Persian and Azerbaijani. Rotten Tomatoes rating of 89%.

"More timely than its director could ever have dreamed, this quietly lyrical tale probes the ambiguous welcome extended by Iran to the Afghani refugees who streamed across its borders, desperate for work and food."  — Ella Taylor, L.A. Weekly
