What do we see when we look around at our neighborhood? What histories and memories bubble to the surface? How can we create a sense of resilience and hope for the future?

Local author and Exploratorium Urban Fellow Pireeni Sundaralingam leads the discussion, starting with sharing selections from her work-in-progress Blue Space, Green Space, a collection of lyric essays and poems interrogating San Francisco's public spaces via an exploration of its histories, its ecosystems and the ethnic groups who may or may not have excluded from these spaces, focusing on Ocean Beach, Lands End, Sutro Baths, the graves beneath Lincoln Park Golf Course and more. Come share your thoughts on the landscape of our neighborhood!

Blue Space, Green Space is a creative writing project funded by the San Francisco Arts Commission.
