Director Anthony Asquith’s brilliant 1952 film adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s famous play, The Importance of Being Earnest. When Algernon discovers that his friend Earnest has invented a fictional brother to escape dull country life, Algernon tries posing as the brother and creates havoc. Starring Michael Redgrave, Joan Greenwood, and Margaret Rutherford.
