The Bridge offers classes and one-to-one assistance for adult learners new to technology or who would like to brush up on their computer skills. Topics include:
- Basic Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Zoom and other applications
- Basic skills and apps for smartphones and tablets
- 3D Printing
We offer in-person appointments for technology help in English, Cantonese or Spanish. Limit: one appointment per week

Project Read is the adult literacy program of San Francisco Public Library. Trained volunteer tutors provide free one-on-one tutoring to English-speaking adults who want to improve their basic reading and writing skills.
FOG Readers is a reading remediation program that helps struggling readers in grades 1-4.
Adult English Language Learners who live in San Francisco can improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills with the help of a one-on-one tutor.
Adult English Language Learners from anywhere can practice speaking English in a friendly online group setting with our ESL Convo Club.

The Bridge at Main offers support and information for individuals who have been formerly incarcerated or detained in county, state, or federal institutions and are in the process of returning home. We can assist in connecting people involved in the reentry process with the public library and other available local community resources.
Veterans can find resources and information about agencies aimed at directly assisting veterans with a variety of needs, such as employment, health and education.

- Hi-Lo Collection - A resource collection designed for adults who want engaging books that are easy to read and quick to finish. These books feature captivating storylines, clear language, and shorter chapters—ideal for readers who appreciate a straightforward, enjoyable reading experience. With choices across various genres, this collection has something for everyone, whether you're new to reading or just prefer stories that get to the point. - Bridge Collection - A resource collection of instructional and informational materials on literacy, learning and learning differences.
- Veterans Resources Collection - A resource collection of books to aid veterans in seeking benefits, employment and adjusting to civilian life and also books about the veteran experience.
