Special VIP Family Concert-Before Hours Access to the Main Library

Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band are back with more tunes, more laughs, and more fun! Winners of the 2013 Latin GRAMMY for children’s music, Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band will fill the library's Atrium with their vibrant beats. Get ready for hip-shaking, head-bopping dance party exploration of indie fresh pop rock beats!

After the music stay for a special after-show presentation of Drag Queen Story Hour in the Main Children's Center on the second floor.  We will be welcoming Grace Towers, who is bilingual in Spanish and will share stories with kids and families.

Created by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions in San Francisco, Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children. Kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.

Because playing is just as important as singing in early childhood learning, we will raffle off one tricycle to a lucky concert goer at this event.

Please note: This is a special before-hours event at the Main Library. Only children and families with children can be admitted.
