Arabic dance, also known as bellydance, balady, or raqs sharqi, is one of the oldest dance forms in the world. Bay Area based dancer Heaven Mousalem is thrilled to bring this exciting performance art to the SF Public Libraries, complete with colorful costume and traditional Arabic music. After the show, anyone who wishes to try out the moves will be invited to get up and join the fun. This is the perfect dance form for people of all ages and abilities. Come enjoy a beautiful art form and experience a unique culture through dance! This program is part of SFPL's Middle Eastern Heritage Celebration.
