Chinese calligraphy is not only aesthetically pleasing writing, but also an expression of emotions, value, spirit and philosophy. In the Dekui Chinese Calligraphy Club, we teach three different styles of writing--regular, clerical, and semi-cursive--using examples from famous calligraphers of the Tang, Yuan and Jin Dynasties.

We will also learn and practice one ancient poem each quarter, aligned with a season or holiday.

If you are a Buddhist or a Buddhist amateur, we have Diamond Sutra for you to practice. Kids and teens can learn using the Thousand Character Classic, a Chinese poem that has been used as a primer since the sixth century.
