Designers are adept at translating a client's vision, but what happens when the work is self-generated? How does a designer even begin to understand what they uniquely have to offer the world? In this talk, Hope Meng will explore how using modularity allowed her to explore different styles and mediums on her path to finding her unique voice as an artist, designer, and letterer.

Hope Meng is a brand designer, lettering artist, and serial entrepreneur.  Her passion projects tend to be long-running and driven by a deep love for letterforms and experimentation: some examples include Monogram Project (monogramproject.com), TEXT/TILE Studio (on IG@texttilestudio), and her 36 Days of Type project (on IG@hopemengdesign).
