Visit the Presidio Nursery for a hands-on nature experience during Climate Action Month. Bring your plant questions for a tour of the nursery's greenhouses, and then as desired, stay and participate in some hands-on skill building. Activities vary seasonally and based on needs, but they will be accessible to all ages and physical abilities and may include some transplanting or pruning. Participants under age 14 must be accompanied by an attentive adult.

Registration for this program is now closed due to capacity limits. You may join the waitlist and will be notified if any spots become available.

What to Expect and What to Bring:

Tour occurs rain or shine. Wear clothes that can get dirty. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required. Bring layers for changing weather and rain gear, if necessary.

Bring a personal water bottle and sunscreen.

No experience necessary. Training and tools will be provided.

Transportation:

Participants must provide their own transportation to and from Presidio Nursery located inside the Presidio at 1249 Appleton St, San Francisco, CA 94129. We encourage participants to carpool, take public transit or use an electric bike share.

Public Transit:

Several SF Muni routes provide service to or near the Presidio (1, 29, 30, and 43 bus lines). Once in the Presidio, you can take the free Presidio Go Shuttle. The shuttle’s “Presidio Hills” route stops at Harrison Blvd & Kobbe Ave (stop #214) which is a 10 min walk to Presidio Nursery.
