Digital Imaging Retrospective of San Francisco  by Leonard Jean Gordon

San Francisco native Leonard Jean Gordon earned a BA in art history from UCSB and attended the Academy of Art University of San Francisco.  Suffering from a kind of visual dyslexia, Leonard channels his visual problems into an artistic vision of displaced imagery, and modern abstraction.  His fascination with Georgio Dechirico, Salvador Dali and René Magritte reflects in his work.

With his imagery, he hopes to perpetuate the great surrealist Georgio Dechirico's concept of the "nostalgia of the infinite". He wishes for the viewer to transcend the limitations of the physical world and connect with something greater and more profound-while pondering what it means to go beyond this material world.
